Los Angeles Career College offers California Child Care: Pediatric First Aid for people willing to be Child Care licensed in the state of California. Red Cross Pediatric First Aid is designed specifically for California State Licensed Child Care Providers.
The course satisfies State requirements for 8 hours of special training in Red Cross CPR and Pediatric First Aid, which also includes extra topics required by the state of California EMS Authority. Red Cross’ Pediatric First Aid satisfies Title 22 requirements for Child Care Providers.
Red Cross California Child Care: Pediatric First Aid is designed for those involved in child care responsible to respond to child’s health emergencies. The course is focused on steps of recognizing elements of common injuries, controlling bleeding and bandage wounds, giving effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask demonstrate, effectively using an AED on a child, as well as, using an epinephrine pen.
Red Cross California Child Care: Pediatric First Aid teach basic principles, how to recognize and appropriately respond to medical emergencies, and specific steps for treating injuries. Learning is presented in realistic case-based scenarios.
Please note that all the participants need to be on time for this course, otherwise will not be able to participate. Those arriving late will be required to reschedule the entire course. Due to mandated time regulations by the State of California, participants must be in attendance for the entire duration of the course.
