This course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacology knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies. Through the help of professionals and knowledgeable instructors all the participants will be thoroughly informed of all the information as a job or other requirement. The ECG and Pharmacology course is an excellent introduction to the ACLS and PALS curriculum. This comprehensive course presents information on basic electrophysiology, normal ECG measurements, basic arrhythmias, basic ACLS drugs, usage and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies, and how to integrate basic drug pharmacology into ACLS algorithms.

ECG & Pharmacology Course Content

  • Basic electrophysiology
  • Normal ECG measurements

  • Administration of appropriate drugs within the ACLS algorithms

The ECG module takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete, and the Pharmacology module takes about 2.75 hours to complete. When the modules are combined, the estimated course length is 6.25 hours. Upon successful completion of the course, all participants will receive a Same-Day Completion Card.  Perfect for credentialed healthcare providers who either must or wish to supplement their training.
