Los Angeles Career College offers American Heart Association courses and follows the latest guidelines and offers same day American Heart Association Certifications. We offer trainings in CPR, AED and First Aid for anyone who has little or no medical training, and who needs proof of course completion in First Aid, CPR and AED to meet the requirements of their job or to comply with other regulations.
Our courses are suitable for laypersons as well as health care professionals, and American Heart Association (AHA) trainers who have experience in emergency room medicine conduct them. Courses can be customized for organizations of any size, and are available via mobile service across the state of California. Course content includes first aid basics, injury emergencies, medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, and child, infant and adult AED use and CPR. Certification is good for two years, and it can include an optional written test.
We are also able to sell and install an AED (automated external defibrillator) in your workplace or organization, in addition to training you in its use. Given that cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, having an AED on site and knowing how to use it can indisputably save lives. We are an AHA authorized training center for CPR, AED and First Aid serving the Los Angeles area, and we encourage you to get in touch with us to arrange for this life-saving training within your workplace or organization.
The certification course is a 100% classroom-based course and takes around 3 to 4 hours to complete and all the participants will be required to sit through the course. Upon completion of the course students will receive an AHA Certification Card, complying with the course they took.
